This 2-day Kibale National Park safari offers an unforgettable primate experience in one of Africa’s most celebrated tropical rainforests. The journey begins with a scenic drive from Kampala or Entebbe to western Uganda, passing through rolling countryside, tea plantations, and vibrant local communities before reaching the lush forests of Kibale. On arrival, guests enjoy a guided nature walk in the renowned Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary, a community-run conservation area rich in birdlife and home to several primate species. The walk provides excellent opportunities for wildlife viewing while offering insight into local conservation and community initiatives. The highlight of the safari takes place on the second day with an early morning chimpanzee trekking experience in Kibale Forest National Park. Accompanied by experienced Uganda Wildlife Authority rangers, guests trek through the forest in search of habituated chimpanzee families.
